We started 2025 with a snowy surprise — and Gidget’s first snow day! She was a little unsure about what to make of it at first. (It was awfully wet and cold, you know.) But a trip to the dog park helped her understand how much fun the snow could be with friends!
As the year continued, we learned to bake bread, watched our first hockey game (Go, Rock Lobsters!), and made multiple attempts at landscaping and gardening. (Some of these activities were more successful than others…) Gidget celebrated her birthday at the dog park with her sister, Penny. Pup cups and peanut butter snackies were a BIG hit!
Not as big a hit, the UGA football team lost to Alabama at home despite a beautiful double rainbow before the game. They did rebound nicely with a big win during the SEC Championship game in Atlanta — which we watched from the comfort of the couch.
We didn’t travel as much this year as we did last year, but we did enjoy a day trip to Congaree National Park (cross it off the list!), a family trip to Seaside, a quiet getaway to Vermont, and work trips to Raleigh and Nashville.
Here are a few highlights from the year:
